Area Congregations In Ministry

What is ACIM?

ACIM is a non-profit organization of Granville County churches whose function is to assist people in need. The organization is staffed by one paid director and volunteers. ACIM

ACIM was designed to meet the basic needs of individuals. Food, medical, utility bills, and temporary shelter are the most frequently requested needs provided by the organization. During the winter months, fuel is furnished in dire circumstances. Great care is taken to avoid duplicating help of other organizations. Strict guidelines are adhered to in order for individuals to receive provisions. Referral to other agencies is provided when applicable.

ACIM is supported by financial and food donations from churches, local businesses, other organizations and individuals. ACIM is also financially supported by government grants and annual allocations from the United Way of Granville County. The Food
Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina provides food at no-cost or low-cost to ACIM. All funds held in an ACIM bank account are disbursed to vendors providing services to ACIM clients in accordance with guidelines established by ACIM's Board of Directors. No money is given directly to ACIM clients.
